EU Shipping Update — Important Information for Our European Customers

EU Shipping Update — Important Information for Our European Customers

Dear Lilla Rose European Community,

We have some important news to share with you, and we want to be completely transparent about what's happening and why.

What's changing

Effective July 1, 2026, the European Union has introduced a new €3 customs duty per separate product line on all imported goods — on top of VAT, which we already handle at checkout through our IOSS registration. This duty is separate from your VAT and shipping cost.

Here's what makes this particularly challenging for our customers: the fee applies per product line, not per order. For many of you who love collecting multiple Flexi clip designs in a single order — which we absolutely love about our EU community — this duty can add up quickly. An order with 4–5 different designs could see €12–€15 in unexpected fees.

Our decision

Rather than have you find these new fees at checkout, we have stopped orders from being placed by customers in the European Union as of June 30th. We are now exploring several options to serve you best. These include:

  • Carrier solutions that handle the duty before delivery so there are no surprises
  • Pricing adjustments that absorb the cost transparently
  • Checkout solutions that show the full landed cost upfront

We hope to have a clear path forward soon and are committed to finding a way to keep serving our wonderful European customers.

Stay in the loop

Since we don't want to lose touch while we sort this out, here's how to stay connected:

We're so grateful to all of you and especially our German community, who have been such loyal and enthusiastic supporters of Lilla Rose for so many years. This pause is not goodbye — it's us taking the time to do this right for you.

Thank you for your patience and continued loyalty.

With much appreciation,
John Dorsey
Lilla Rose
